Literacy and Parenting Skills – Online Facilitator Training
For literacy practitioners, instructors, facilitators, volunteer tutors and community workers who work with adult foundational learners and families.
Literacy and Parenting Skills (LAPS) is an innovative literacy program, designed to help parents build foundational learning, literacy and parenting skills. Parents learn strategies to help their children develop literacy skills, while exploring parenting topics and improving their own literacy skills.
Facilitators will learn strategies for working with adult foundational learners, how to adapt LAPS sessions for their programs and community and have the opportunity to design some sessions and present to the group.
When: November 6th to 8th, 9am - 1:30pm each day
Where: Online (Please have a working camera and mic to get the most out of this interactive workshop.)
Cost: $300 – Includes the Literacy and Parenting Skills Facilitator Manual filled with activities and resources
