Become a Spoke Host
Spokes are a fun way to engage. We know that you can’t join us centrally at the Hub in Edmonton so here’s an opportunity to get together as a small group of attendees to debrief after sessions, view keynotes and ceremonies, celebrate the awards presentations and network.
Spoke Host Responsibilities:
- Things to Consider:
- Abide by AHS Health orders and gathering safely
- Provide space for individuals to view breakout sessions independently
- Provide charging stations for laptops/mobile devices
- What are YOUR expectations of attendees? (bring their own device, headset, etc., snacks and meals, etc.)
- Think about getting creative with hosting your “Spoke”, such as:
- Physical space and set-up ideas
- Engagement tools
- Surprise and delight moments
- Thoughtful giveaways
- Spoke Facilitator Kit:
- Spoke Facilitator Tipsheet
- Spoke Facilitator Discussion Guide
- Symposium At-a-Glance Agenda (See for facilitated reflection times)
Hosting or joining a Spoke are completely optional activities. Hosts and/or individuals attending a Spoke are responsible for any costs related to organization, meeting space, travel, accommodation and meals. Each Spoke Host Site will receive a small honorarium in the amount of $20 per person after the Symposium in recognition of participating as a Spoke (minimum 6 people). CLN Expense forms will be provided.
Spoke application deadline is Friday, September 10th.
