Meet-the-Experts Sessions

About the Meet-the-Expert Sessions

The “Meet-the-Expert” Sessions will be a total of 80 minutes in length.

The aim of these sessions is to provide an informal atmosphere where delegates can interact with “experts”, who will give their undivided attention for two rounds of 40-minute sessions for knowledge, insight and networking. The session will be open on a first-come, first-served basis.

After a short presentation (up to 10 minutes), the “expert” will open the session for discussion, driven by active audience participation of up to 20 delegates.

After the first 40-minute round, delegates will be signaled to find a new table topic.

Delegates will round out their Symposium experience with practical working sessions focused on hot-topic issues that organizations face and the solutions and resources that are available to address them.

Delegates will have an opportunity to meet, learn from and consult with the “experts” in 2 of the topic areas.

Topics will include:

  • ABC’s Free Literacy Programs for Adult Learners
  • Are you ready to change it up? An innovative approach to Foundational and Employment Readiness Training
  • CALP 3-year Final Reports and Application – Common Issues and Questions
  • ESL Rural Routes
  • FASD and the Adult Learner: Success Through Understanding
