Context Analysis Strategy
This video introduces the Context Analysis strategy, which helps learners use clues from the surrounding text to understand and sound out unfamiliar words.
What is Context Analysis?
- Context Analysis combines both comprehension and decoding.
- Learners use clues from the sentence or paragraph to:
- Guess the meaning of an unknown word
- Check if a word they decoded makes sense in context
- It builds confidence and supports real-world reading success.
