Adult Literacy and Learning in Family Literacy Programs (Part 1 of 3 - afternoons)

CALP-funded family literacy programs are a safe, welcoming entry point to learning for adult foundational learners. Sometimes it can be difficult for CALP staff to know where to begin in the planning process. This training will provide tools to address the ‘how to’ deliver fun and engaging programs that align with the CALP Guidelines.
These online sessions involve participants in the “I do, we do, you do” process of learning. In this hands-on workshop participants will:
- Use resources that will help with planning a CALP-funded family literacy programs
- Learn how to explicitly teach adult foundational learning while engaging participants of all ages
- Develop their own program session plan
