Beginner Conversational Cree for Adults

What will I learn?: Greetings. Cree expressions. What is your name? Where are you from? Numbers, Syllabics, 4-10 new words, and vocabulary development.

Time: Saturday, 10 am-3 pm

Knowledge is transferable and portable to MCC courses

Prerequiste: None. No prior knowlege of Cree language required for this course

What to bring?: Four Cree words. Something for a door prize.

Certificate: All learners will be awarded a certificate of participation

  • That things can be animate or inanimate
  • How to introduce myself in Cree
  • How to count up to ten in Cree
  • How to count up to twenty in Cree
  • How to count by tens to one hundred
  • How spiritual beliefs are integrated into the language
  • How to do a simple prayer
  • Learn some new vocabulary and how to put words together myself to make nehiyaw sentences
