Wheatland Further Education Society and the Community Learning Network are hosting one day of "Beyond the Basics" Training for Family Literacy Models in Strathmore on Friday, June 10th.
Location: Humpty's Restaurant Meeting Room - 503 HIghway AB-1, Strathmore, Alberta.

9:00 am - 12:00 pm - Beyond the Basics: Books for Babies
Description: This half-day workshop will share and reflect on the Books for Babies program; discussing successes, ways to enhance the program and how to expand on it as well as looking at new research, related topics that participants often raise in program, and how to support participants’ continued learning once they complete a Books for Babies program and ask: what’s next?
Audience: Family Literacy practitioners who have taken Books for Babies Facilitator Training, and are currently facilitating a family literacy program based on the Books for Babies model.

Description: This half-day workshop will share and reflect on the Rhymes that Bind program discussing successes, ways to enhance the program and how to expand on it as well as looking at new research, related topics that participants often raise in programs, and how to support participants’ continued learning once they complete a Rhymes that Bind program and ask: what’s next?
Audience: Family Literacy practitioners who have taken Rhymes that Bind Facilitator Training, and are currently facilitating a family literacy program based on the Rhymes that Bind model.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS Friday, June 3, 2016.
Fees:
$20.00 - half day session (including lunch)
$30.00 - full day (including lunch)
