Board Leadership Edmonton 2016

Board Leadership Edmonton events are organized by a collaborative committee who are passionate about board governance. Every year we offer a range of engaging and informative sessions focused on enhancing skills, knowledge, and networks of nonprofit and volunteer organization leaders, and this year is no exception!

Board Leadership Edmonton: Governance Fundamentals is a one-day learning event on March 5th that address fundamentals and new trends that board members need to be aware of. It is best suited for new board members, board members who are looking to enhance their basic skills, and seasoned board members who are taking on new roles.

Sessions focus on the fundamentals and trends for nonprofit boards members. This year topics include responsibilities of various board roles, how to run effective AGMs and special meetings and board decision-making.

There are a limited number of bursaries available to support individuals volunteering with organizations that have a very limited budget. To apply for or get more information on the bursary please contact Sharon at volunteerism@ecvo.ca or at 780-801-4727. The deadline for bursary applications is noon February 5th.
