Budgeting & Finances 101 for CALPs

Trainer: Lisa Rohr, Business IQ Training, Camrose, AB

The morning will provide insight and tips regarding financial responsibilities for CALP Directors and Administrators. Topics will include financial tasks specific to CALP organizations including revenue and expense transaction entries, source document requirements, reconciliations, budgets/reports to the board including actuals vs budget as well as grant reporting requirements.

The afternoon will provide insight and tips regarding payroll responsibilities for CALP Directors and Administrators. Topics will include Alberta payroll regulations pertaining to CALP employees, how to calculate and remit payroll and source deductions and how to manage other payroll responsiblities such as T4 submissions and Record of Employment reporting.

Audience: CALP Organization Staff

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, March 28, 2017. A minimum of 8 participants is required to run this course.
