Learn to build content to enrich your classes with video/apps/self-evaluation quizzes
Tool 1: ED Puzzle Video software. Access videos from all major video platforms (Youtube/ Vimeo/ etc) and turn them into video lessons for your teaching with easy audio/ quiz editing functions. Gain an insight into students' viewing activities and performance to help your students prepare for a class or revise or self-evaluate their skills, while you can stay in the know how they are doing and give them personalized feedback after an activity too.
Tool 2: Learning Apps. The free online learning app creation tool.
Tool 3: Socrative. A formative assessment tool to build quizzes that help your students assess their skills.
Presenter: Joerdis Weilandt, University of Lethbridge
Joerdis's fascination for languages has been a driving force behind her own language learning and teaching of German, English and Mandarin. She is a language learner and teacher and often experiences what it takes to stay engaged with a subject matter and to regulate one's own language learning progress. Her effective feedback and self-evaluation mechanisms come into play as crucial elements.
Currently, she is working as an educational assistant for the Teaching Centre at the University of Lethbridge. She is an affiliate teacher trainer of the Montréal/ New York Goethe-Institutes through which enjoys the exchange with other professionals in the field of modern language teaching/ education.
She embraces an open culture in the sharing of expertise and resources.
