What’s next for tutors after the Alberta Routes ESL Tutor Training*? This online study group explores some of the most important aspects of teaching English language learners (ELLs) one-on-one from the first day and throughout the time you will accompany ELLs on their learning journey. Tutors will take a closer look at the Alberta Routes Tutor Handbook and connect with other tutors to learn from others’ unique contexts.

Week 1:  Needs Assessment & Goal Setting
Week 2:  Setting Realistic Outcomes 
Week 3:  Creating Tasks & Activities 
Week 4:  Lesson Planning  
Week 5:  Assessment & Feedback 


For whom: *Tutors who have previously attended Alberta Routes’ ESL Tutor Training workshop online or in-person
