Elder Kerrie Moore, Trauma and Resilience

Date: Monday, October 3, 2022

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Where: Online
Facilitator: Elder Kerrie Moore

Trauma is passed down for seven generations. Trauma is a repetitive experience that creates behaviours and beliefs which continue epigenetically, creating behaviours that are continually expressed. Unless we experience a new positive repetitive behaviour, our brain will continue with the old negative behaviours. This workshop will address Trauma and the negative historical patterns which create intergenerational Trauma.

We will also explore changing our brain and healing methodologies through an Indigenous and holistic framework. In order to support resilience within an Indigenous worldview, a holistic way of knowing will be identified.
