Foundational Learning Instructor Program (FLIP)

Foundational Learning Instructor Program (FLIP)-  Micro-credential program has two specializations for participants - Literacy and Numeracy. Participants will begin their respective programs with a short introductory mini-course, and once completed, they will be able select a further six mini-courses based on their area of need and interest. Courses can be completed in any order, and participants can be work at their own pace. Each mini-course is expected to take between 7 and 10 hours to complete. All courses are facilitated by faculty with extensive experience in Adult Education.

Who is eligible for the program? Any staff or volunteer currently working with an Alberta CALP is eligible to sign up. 

When does the program start and end?  The online programming is open and is asynchronous, with instructor support throughout the courses. The program will finish on June 15th, 2023 and the next offering will commence in the Fall of 2023. 

How much does the micro- credential courses cost? Offered at no-cost to CALP staff and volunteers - Thanks to the generous support of the Alberta Government. (Ministry of Skilled Trades and Professionals department).
