Foundations to Teaching Pronunciation: Stress & Intonation

Teaching pronunciation must focus on two main areas of spoken English:  individual sounds and the rhythm of words and sentences. This workshop explores the second area – teaching stress and intonation. EAL tutors and instructors will explore this aspect of pronunciation and learn how to use a communicative lesson plan outline to teach speech sounds more effectively.
