Are you the senior staff person working with your CALP board? Or are you interested in sitting on a Board of Directors but have limited experience? Are you new to your specific Board and want to make sure you understand your role and responsibilities? Are you a leader who wants to understand the details of all standard Board roles so that you can mentor and support others? This session is for you!
We’re going to review five standard Staff and Board roles – Executive Director, Board: Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Director - and look at some of the important details of what these positions entail. We’ll also explore some best practices for an effective staff-board relationship.
