Magic Carpet Ride Facilitator Training

This training will enable participants to:
- Learn how to set up and conduct a Magic Carpet Ride Program in their community
- Consider ways to use or adapt Magic Carpet Ride materials to meet the needs of families in their programs
- Participants will have opportunities to learn a variety of strategies and practices that can easily be implemented in family literacy programs
The focus will be on:
- Facilitating adult/parent learning
- Using children’s books with parents and children
- Making use of everyday materials and teachable moments to support learning in families

Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Deadline to register: Monday, November 6, 2017. (A Minimum of 8 participants is required to run this training.)
Registration Fee (inlcudes training materials, lunch and snacks):
CALP-funded organizations, First Nations College or CCI Staff: $50.00
Other agencies: $100.00

Cancellation and Refund Guideline/Procedure:
If you are unable to attend a training event, you must notify Community Learning Network via email of all cancellations prior to the first day of the training. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.
If Notice of Cancellation is given 10 or more business days before the training event, the registration fee is eligible for a refund, less a $25.00 administrative fee.
If Notice of Cancellation is given fewer than 10 business days before the first day of the training event, the registration fee is nonrefundable.
Refunds will be applied to the original form of payment (i.e. the credit account used to pay for the registration).
