Foundational Numeracy – Helping Learners Develop the Math Skills they Need

Numeracy Practitioner’s Study Group  - Wednesdays from 2pm to 3pm - 5 Sessions

Would you like to increase your understanding of how to tutor foundational numeracy learners so they can develop the math skills they need to pass Trades Entrance and the new High School Equivalency Exam?   Would you like to connect with other Numeracy instructors and tutors?  If so join me in this exciting, interactive, online study group.   Participants in this group will have an opportunity to gather information, ideas, and strategies for their own Numeracy context. Instruction will be learner-oriented and designed to meet the needs of your learners and your community.
 
Week one:  How Humans Learn Math

Week two: Motivating Foundational Math Learners

Week three: Preparing Foundational Learners for Trades Entrance Exam   

Week four: Preparing Foundational Learners for the new High School Equivalency Exam  

Week five: Pulling it All together to Take Action to Help Foundational Math Learners
