This study group is for new tutors who have previously attended the Alberta Routes Tutor Training*? This online study group explores some of the most important aspects of teaching English language learners (ELLs) one-on-one from the first day and throughout the time you will accompany ELLs on their learning journey. Connect with other instructors and tutors and learn from others’ unique contexts.

We will discuss the following topics:

Week 1:  Needs Assessment & Goal Setting
Week 2:  Setting Realistic Outcomes
Week 3:  Creating Tasks & Activities
Week 4:  Lesson Planning
Week 5:  Assessment & Feedback
