Teach the Student, Not the book (OPD Author Jayme Adelson-Goldstein)

Jayme Adelson-Goldstein, author of many of the Oxford Picture Dictionary's, the workbooks and teacher's guide that accompany them, Step Forward, Listen First, and editor of the Read and Reflect books is coming to Read On!

She will be offering two sessions.

Teach the Student, Not the book will be offered from 9:00 - 12:30: learn how to use her books to help your student  (One-on-One or Classroom instruction) the skills they need to know.  Using just a page or two of the OPD, learn to create reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities.

Teaching Listening and Clarification will be offered from 1:00 - 4:30.  Instructors and tutors consider the listening process, identify the challenges of listening in another language, and - using a variety of sources - analyze and develop listening tasks to help learners transfer their first language listening skills to English.

Come for one or both sessions.

Registration: $40.00 per person (snacks included; brown bag lunch)
