Using Realia with English Language Learners (Lunch N Learn)

Worksheets and textbooks aren’t the only tools on hand to teach language. Why not use grocery flyers, pharmacy receipts, cereal boxes, bus tickets? “Realia” refers to any real objects teachers bring into their classrooms to engage learners and enhance their learning process. In this workshop, participants will learn how realia can enhance a lesson, and look at ways to use realia with English language learners.
