G. Grande Cache

Grande Cache is a town in the Rocky Mountains. You can do many outdoor activities in the area.

Grande Cache is near a wilderness park. You can't drive into the park. But you can hike, bike or ride a horse into the park.

H. Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump

This park protects an old buffalo jump. Aboriginal people hunted here. They drove buffalo over the cliffs. They used most parts of the buffalo: the meat, fat, bones and hides.

There are many displays in the visitors' centre. Ask about special events. For example: Aboriginal drumming, dancing, storytelling.

I. Icefields Parkway

The Icefields Parkway is a highway in the Rocky Mountains. It is between Jasper and Lake Louise.

There is lots to see along the way. Stop at the Columbia Icefields and look at the glaciers.

J. Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park is a beautiful place to visit. It is in the Rocky Mountains.

Many people like to camp in Jasper. You can go for short walks or long hikes. Don't miss Maligne Canyon and Miette Hot Springs!

K. Kananaskis Country

You can see foothills and mountains in Kananaskis Country.

There are many parks, trails and campgrounds.

William Watson Lodge is for people with disabilities. The lodge, cabins, campsites and trails are accessible. People in wheelchairs can use them easily.

  • The cabins and campsites are for people with disabilities and their families.

L. Legal

You can hear French and English in Legal. It is a bilingual town.

Fęte au Village is a summer festival. Enjoy the music and events. For example: a chili contest, parade and demolition derby.
