lvl3 Amazing quads: Part 1

quads1

Karen gave birth to four baby girls on August 12, 2007. The quads are rare because they are identical (exactly alike).

Born in the U.S.

The quads were born in the United States. At the time, no hospital in Canada had special beds for four babies.

Babies were small

The babies were very small when they were born. They weighed between 2½ and 3 pounds each. They needed special care in the hospital.

The babies were in the U.S. hospital for a few days. Then they went to a hospital in Calgary.

Names for the babies

At first, doctors called the baby girls A, B, C and D. Soon the Jepps named their babies:

  • A became Autumn
  • B became Brooke
  • C became Calissa
  • D became Dahlia

Many ups and downs

The Jepps had many ups and downs during the first few months.

The Jepps were very happy. But they were tired and busy all the time. They had a toddler named Simon. Now they had four baby girls to take care of too!

The babies had some health problems. They were in and out of the hospital many times.

Happy birthday!

The quads are one year old now. Simon is three. He loves his sisters. The five kids enjoy playing together.

The quads are healthy and happy. They are crawling. They are trying to stand up too.

Different personalities

The girls look alike. But they have different personalities. For example, Autumn is a leader. Calissa is very active.
