Wave® petunias
Plant Wave® petunias in a pot. Plant them in early May. But watch out for frost!
Put the pot on a patio or balcony. Petunias love sun!
You will need
- a 12-inch pot (a 30-cm pot) with holes in the bottom
- 3 Wave® petunia plants
- fertilizer
- potting soil
Note: Use a light soil mix in your pot. The bag might say soilless potting mix or potting soil.
What to do
1. Put some potting soil in the pot. Leave about 6 inches (15 cm) of space at the top.
2. Take the petunias out of their pots. Gently pull apart some of the roots.
3. Put the plants on top of the soil.
4. Put some soil around the plants. Press down the soil.
5. Leave about 1½ inches (3.8 cm) of space at the top of the pot.
6. Water the petunias.
7. Fertilize the petunias too. Use fertilizer that you mix with water. Look for numbers on the label. Choose 20-20-20.
8. Put the pot in a sunny place.
- Don't let the soil dry out. Water every day in hot weather.
- Fertilize your petunias often. Put a pinch of fertilizer in your watering can every time you water the petunias.
- Cover your petunias or bring them inside if it will be 0ºC or colder.
