What a mom!

A person at the zoo finds a baby wallaby on the ground. It is about 4 months old. It is cold and alone.

Delia takes the wallaby inside. She feeds it. She keeps it warm.

Delia's daughter names the wallaby Mira (short for Miracle).

The mother wallaby won't take care of Mira. So Delia becomes Mira's new mom.

At first

Delia takes care of Mira 24 hours a day. It is a lot of work!

Delia feeds Mira every 1 or 2 hours. Delia carries Mira in a pouch.

Delia takes Mira home at night. Mira sleeps on Delia's chest.

Now

Mira is 9 months old.

Mira eats 3 times a day. Delia carries her in a blanket. Mira sleeps beside Delia's bed.

Delia takes Mira for walks. Mira hops on the ground. She meets the other wallabies.
