About the Literacy & Learning Symposium

The Literacy & Learning Symposium is hosted by the Community Learning Network with support from the Government of Alberta. This annual province-wide professional development symposium focuses on building expertise in community-based adult literacy and foundational learning. The Literacy & Learning Symposium is designed to support the provincial professional development of Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) staff, volunteers and system stakeholders. Each year, we build a program with a variety of learning and networking opportunities for new and experienced practitioners, so they have the capacity to achieve the CALP system vision: “Changing lives through adult foundational learning in connected communities.”
