The Literacy & Learning Symposium is hosted by the Community Learning Network with funding and support from the Government of Alberta. This annual province-wide professional development event is designed to support the provincial professional development of Alberta’s Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) staff, volunteers and system stakeholders.
We are excited to let you know that this year, we will be hosting our first ever virtual Literacy and Learning Symposium! The virtual (online) event will take place on the same dates – September 29th to October 2nd, 2020. We created a new program and agenda, which will be more conducive to a virtual event. Our focus continues to be on providing a provincial-level PD event, which will include a broad range of training and PD opportunities that are responsive to the provincial PD needs of Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) staff, boards and volunteers.
NOTES: Registration is open to Alberta’s CALP system and stakeholders. We always enjoy having attendees from different areas join us, but this year we are asking that our inter-provincial and national partners wait until after September 10th to register. As our mandate and funding are provincially focused, we want to ensure Alberta practitioners have the opportunity to register in the sessions they want and need. After September 10th, we will be pleased to have our other partners register to join us online for this year’s virtual Symposium.
Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
