Create safer, more inclusive communities
Hate and harassment can show up in everyday interactions, both in physical spaces and online. This interactive workshop will provide practical strategies to recognize, respond to, and prevent hate while strengthening safer, more inclusive communities.
What to expect
Through real-world scenarios and case studies, you’ll explore:
- The difference between hate crimes and hate incidents, and how they can show up in everyday life.
- How to recognize and respond to digital hate and online harassment, including impacts on women and gender-diverse people.
- Practical skills for anti-hate intervention and building resilience in your workplace and community.
- Trauma-informed approaches to supporting safe and healthy environments.
- Considerations for supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ community members and responding to forms of hate and harassment that may disproportionately affect these communities.
You’ll leave with practical tools and strategies you can apply immediately to foster belonging and support safer spaces.
Refreshements: Snacks and beverages will be provided.
