Language
Communication means that messages are being sent and recieved in a way that is understood. When it comes to digital language, the same applies! It is important to make sure that users are speaking the same language as the devices they are using in order to get tasks accomplished.
There are 3 main categories of digital language (visual, verbal, physical) along with additional essential language that is commonly used (and therefore it is important to know).

Visual
This is the language related to what you see - the pictures of icons, symbols, structures or tasks.

Verbal
This is the language related to what you read - the words or text used on the icons, symbols, structures, or tasks.

Physical
This is the language related to gestures - what you do to interact with digital devices such as clicking, tapping, or swiping.

Essential Language
This is related to commonly used digital language. Understanding terms like these mean that you can understand the bigger context of digital devices.
