CALP Portal Launches Across Alberta

It's finally here! The Community Learning Network is launching the new CALP Portal, your "one-stop-shop" for all things Community Adult Learning. Find resources, join online conversations and check out upcoming training and professional development.

Here's what you need to know....

What Will the CALP Portal Do for Me?

The CLN has been working hard to make the CALP Portal a truly welcoming, inclusive, user-friendly "one-stop-shop" for Alberta's Community Adult Learning Program.

Our primary goal is to help you find what you need, connect with your peers, provincial supports and others, and keep up-to-date in the easiest, most convenient ways possible. The new Portal will let you:

• Access an extensive library of resources to support you in your work
• Share the resources and recommendations that you find the most helpful
• Check out upcoming regional and provincial training and professional development events
• Register for CALP events with one click of the mouse
• Keep up to date with trends and hot topics with our weekly blog
• Connect with your colleagues regionally and provincially, to build a strong online Community of Practice and peer-to-peer professional support network
• Find current contact information for CALPs across the province and in your region

In addition to all this, each user will have a personalized Dashboard, where you can keep track of your training and PD schedule, access your online Groups and Communities of Practice, see what's coming up in your region and get one-click access to the most popular resources in our library!

How Do I Sign Up for an Account?

If you already have an account for CLN Online (www.communitylearning.info), the answer is easy:

Nothing!

All existing accounts will be automatically moved over to the new site. Starting on Wednesday morning, you can use the same login email and password to access the CALP Portal at www.calp.ca

All CALP Staff, Board members, community partners and system stakeholders who want to be part of the CALP online Community of Practice are welcome to join the conversation!

What About Everything We've Shared on CLN Online?

Don't worry! We won't lose all the great resources, documents, templates and samples you have so generousness shared throughout the Network through the CLN Online platform. CLN staff have been carefully reviewing all the resources we posted over the years, as well as everything our members have shared. These resources have been catalogued, and categorized for improved search-ability, and will be added to the Resources on the new Portal in the coming weeks.

What About Training?

We will host the first of a series of online training sessions on Tuesday, November 3rd, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
