Advancing Re(al)conciliation course (First Nations University of Canada)
Faye Beauchamp, The CALP at NorQuest (Whitecourt / Lac Ste. Anne)
Free online course! Advancing Re(al)conciliation is designed to educate through truth-telling and inspire action. Learners will learn about how the past created much of our present experiences and situations, and how present knowledge and relationships can shape the future. Learners will explore current realities within the context of understanding the past as they 'peel away' the layers of colonial teaching, knowledges, understandings, positionalities, and experiences.
Advancing Re(al)conciliation means progressing beyond where learners are at - personally, socially, politically, environmentally, economically, and professionally. This course aims to support all persons in their journey to finding Truth and Reconciliation by moving forward with good intentions.
