The NorQuest CALP in Whitecourt has developed a new workshop to support youth and adults with the digital skills and confidence they need to be successful writing online CAEC exams.

The toolkit includes a Facilitator’s Guide, a PowerPoint, Screenshots of relevant online resources and a participant handout.

The learning outcomes for adult learners who participate in this session are:

  • Understand what the CAEC is (and is not), how it is similar to and different from the GED®
  • Gain hands-on experience using the tools and accessibility features in the CAEC online testing platform (Vretta)
  • Practice the digital skills required to answer a variety of types of questions on a digital testing platform
  • Gain insight on how to prepare for exam day and manage test anxiety

The NorQuest CALP in Whitecourt is grateful to the Telus Friendly Future Foundation for their financial support of this initiative.
