The Literacy & Learning Symposium is hosted by the Community Learning Network with funding and support from the Government of Alberta. This annual province-wide professional development event is designed to support Alberta’s Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) staff, volunteers and system stakeholders.

Refund Policy:


The registration fee is $150 per person and is inclusive of all events.

Registration opens: February 2027
Registration deadline:
Thursday, April 8, 2027

No refunds will be issued for withdrawals. Substitutions are allowed only until the registration deadline.

To ensure your registration is processed smoothly and efficiently, please review the following guidelines:

  • A separate registration form is required for each individual participant. Registrations are non-transferable (you cannot share your registration with others).

  • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and many sessions have limited space. To secure your preferred sessions, register early. We encourage you to take advantage of the full range of sessions available!
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided for registered Symposium attendees only at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre Hotel. 

  • If you need to substitute a participant due to unforeseen circumstances, please notify Program Support by email at office@calp.ca as soon as possible. Substitutions must be made on or before the registration deadline only (April 8, 2027).

Each year our Symposium Planning Committee oversees the planning of the Symposium. The Committee works closely with system stakeholders to develop an agenda of training and PD along with networking opportunities that are relevant and timely for CALPs across the province.
